Emancipate yourself

Mr. Baxter – Chief officer of sending good news from Redbubble informed me that my phto was sold as a print.

I took this picture a couple of years ago in a tunnel as I went for my “allowed daily exercise”, when the world came to a holt out of sheer terror, and because you know some peope with too much power said so.

Anywhoo…as a graffiti peace it stood out amid the siblings of others. It needed to be captured, for it said something about the psyche of those times. It was like a shout out to the world, that we needed to wake up and start living again. I do not know who added this art piece on the wall, and sadly it is no more. The tunnel got taken over by the insignificant tags of those who want to be….

Today this image sold as a print and is traveling to the US.

And if you wish to own a copy head to my Redbubble store..

The path of the I am

I created this painting as an acrylic on canvas a few months ago, but I felt that it needs to be seen wider, and make it available network wide, for it has information and vibration that needs to be passed on.

It represents some of the pieces to the puzzle called Egypt event from February 2022 (and if you read my blogs regularly you will know what I am talking about). The character you see is the entity Matias was channeling when we visited Saqqara as the “water group”, and the cube is the pieces of information that needed to be condensed in one singularity so that the “water group” can upload it to the network via the pyramid and during the main event. The rest of the symbolism is the tree of life, the Nile, our visits to the Pyramid but also the covenant we made 12 thousand years ago to join once more outside the Sphinx, and yet also represented our standing outside the Lion greeting the sunrise. Enjoy!

It is available to buy in my Redbubble store, if it resonates.

The pyramid of Kem

This is a picture of the pyramid in Cairo. It is the pyramid of Khafre, the one that still has part of the limestone cladding.

I took this picture early in the morning, when the haze of the morning still enveloped the whole site.

In my mind’s eye, the pyramids should be always reflecting the sun back surrounded by an oasis of trees.

You can find this image as a print and as apparel available in my Redbubble store.

Silversmithing

Today I made a leap in my jewellery making from wire wrapping to silversmithing.

It has been a dream of mine for the past few years to learn how to solder, and this September (2021) I held the blow torch in my hand for the first time.

These are two silver rings that I made during a “ring in a day” session in November. I love both these concepts, one is very feminine, with a flower, very different from my own style, but somthing I will wear with love. The second ring is geometical, something much more in tune with my logical brain.

I am sharing them today as I feel these two ring are a start to a brand new adventure for me.

You may even have a chance to purchase the geometeical ring at some point in one of my shops. Until then, head over either to http://www.gabriellaszekely.folksy.com or http://www.gabriellaszekely.etsy.com for umique wire wrapped handmade jewellery.

Portrait of a cow

If you really love cows, or just a good black and white portrait of a cow, well, you can buy a print via my Redbubble shop here.

I took this picture during one of my cycle rides in the country. If you have a creature looking at you like this, it is impossible to resist photographing it.

It’s a mess

I hope you all felt loved yesterday, today we delve into the world of mess :) If you are intrigued click here.

If you wonder what these blog entries are all about; every day I take a picture and I try to take us into the world of our inner self. I use imagery to raise some introspective questions via my photo blog on Patreon. For 365 day I will be posting an image a day, and then perhaps these blog entries can become a diary for people to reflect on their own world. For 365 days my daily entries will be free for everyone one to explore their inner world.

If you wish you can be a patron – that will help me perfect my craft and create more content.

But for now and until January 2022, I invite you to journey with me into the self. We have made it to day 142 so far, and if you have journeyed with me so far, I am grateful for your time and your presence, you are indeed immensely loved by the universe.

Hanging out

Inflatable toys on a string in a park in Europe. What better way to entice a child to buy something? It has been a decade since this image was taken therefore it is befitting to turn it into a monochrome image.

I guess following on from yesterday; we are continuing the theme of hanging out in a dark/ noir environment of our own inner world.

But actually, what if, in that inner world, we tried to find some colour, find some inner joy, some window to the world where the sun is shining?

How many of you were willing to visit the darker side of you?

Having looked at the stats on the blog entry, not many people were willing, so I guess the topic of darkness is still tabu amid the human race.

It is interesting to speak about the dark. It is one thing that always frightened us. As a species, we have always sought the light, because it meant that we can survive, we can fend off predators better, we can find out food easier, we were safe.

In the history of humanity, any period that was gruesome was classed as a dark age. So, I guess why would you hang out in those places if, by its very description, our survival may be at stake? Well, for that you may want to go back one day and read the entry.

Today we hang out in the world as if we have no care in the world, as we try to suppress, or try not to remember anything that was darker in our past, and we want to only remember the colourful happy places we have within.

As I am writing this entry, I am wondering how many people do hang out on the internet so they don’t have to face reality?

I wonder how many of you continue to hang out on those platforms, where one episode of a show just rolls into the next?

I wonder how much time you spend playing a game console, to the detriment of being outside and enjoying nature?

I guess if you are reading these entries, perhaps you are happy to hang out on your own, with your thoughts, and perhaps you sometimes look forward to a bit of introspection.

Last week I was observing someone doing everything they could to avoid facing their reality. The tablet was out; they were watching cat videos, followed by catching up on the sports scores, followed by a series on a platform, followed by going for a nap, and all the while I was watching something about symbols in the world that keep on showing up time and time again across the ages. I was musing to myself how different human beings can be, sharing the same space and yet one being introspective about the world; whilst the other being content with its superficiality. Where do you hang out?

CONTEXT:Many may be wondering what are all these posts all about relating to a blog on Patreon. Well… as of January 11th 2021, I decided that I will post one picture a day on my Patreon page and use the image as a platform to self exploration. Throughout my life, friends have often come to ask me existential questions, so this year I decided to blend my love of photography and self development questions. We are living through some tough times as a human family and I know that mental health support is so difficult to find at the right time and level, so through my blog posts I invite the viewer to explore questions with the help of an image. I set myself the target of posting an image a day and keep it up for at least a year, and perhaps when the year is up, I will turn it into a “diary of sorts” that perhaps can be published. The ethos of Patreon is to seek patrons who are willing to invest in an artist and thus create a steady income. If you visit my page you will see the different tiers. The blog entries for 2021 will be free to everyone who needs it. Of course if this resonates than by all means become a patron. What I want to do is invite the reader to enter into a discussion and indeed reach out so they do not feel alone. They say an image is worth a thousand words. Indeed, an image can be a static snapshot of one moment in time, or a vehicle for self reflection. Join the discussion if you wish: PATREON

“Oy! You! I am talking to you!”

Order from chaos

A new design available in my Redbubble shop. This is a hand drawn image that has been digitized to create the full pattern. The central motif is the flower of life. We are all fractals of reality and from chaos unity is born.

Chunky amethyst pendant

An absolutely stunning amethyst stone, wire wrapped in tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire. The size of the stone allowed for a much more complicated design, that reminds me of rococco style pieces.

This is a chunky pendant that looks beautifully on a long chain, and for your convenience a silver plated chain will be included. It would look amazing with a beautiful dress, and even with a V-neck t-shirt.

If you would like to own this one of a kind wearable art piece, click here.

And if you just want to brows and window shop, still click here.

Brecciated-jasper pendant

Last month I was showing of a triangular brecciated-jasper pendant, this month I listed my second piece with a distinctly different and yet similar stone. This brecciated-jasper stone has high levels of hematite veins all over, so the best silver filled setting was a very simple wire weave.

If you would like to own it, click here – to visit my Etsy listing, and of course if jasper is not your thing, have a look around I have a large collection of wearable art pieces available.

Thank you for your visit

“Watching you”

“Watching you”

I took part in the ‘B&W Photographer Of The Year’ challenge on Gurushots in February 2021. The beautiful tiger in the image received enough votes to be selected and be exhibited, digitally live at the world-renowned, and highly respected Coningsby Gallery, located in London’s historical West End district.

20718 people entered the competition, 82872 pictures entered and my tiger got enough votes to be 264th in the competition. Overall I ranked 466th in total. This is the 2nd time one of my images is showcased in London, my previous exhibited image was in summer of 2020.

The exhibition will take place between 21-22 May 2021. Click here for the event page

Budda statue

Took this picture of a Budda statues during one of the countryside walks in one of the natural heritage sites in the UK. During the 1800 I guess having a statue on your land was seen as exotic as part of your “oriental garden”. Today the symbolism is different.

The original picture is in colour and a woodland background. The main subject was isolated and changed to black and white. If you wish to own a copy you can do so from my Redbubble shop

Below are some of the formats available.
