My FOLKSY STORE is going to the market from the 21-23rd May 2022.
Every so often I join an online market, and this upcoming week-end is one of those times.
With code ASTS15 – anyone shopping during the week-end gets 15% off.
My FOLKSY STORE and many other arts and crafts artists are joining forces with AND SO TO SHOP and Tresstle, to all unite for one week-end for the ONLINE SUMMER MARKET.
Come find me at the market!
Have you ever tried pyrography? I guess many have not.
This Saturday I picked up my “pen” and started etching.
Pyrography is basically using a heated metal nib to etch designs into wood.
Last year, I picked up a bunch of wooden blanks in the craft shop, thinking that I could create some “pucks” with designs on them to include them as presents with my other pendants.
This week however I reconsidered that idea and instead I decided to turn them into pendants.
Each wooden pendant is double sided, and have geometric patterns on them. The intention was to use geometry to create beauty, just like in nature. Some patterns repeat themselves, as I believe more people may need these codes in their lives, some will stay as unique pendants.
The collection is available in my Folksy store.
Join me as we create a beautiful world, one geometry at the time.
Hello all. When I started this website it was dedicated both to my photography and my jewellery making but I feel like I have been neglecting the jewellery side somewhat. At the week-end I have done a bit of film editing of my Instagram live videos, I condensed down what would be 4 hours of video to a fast 10 minute and 4 minute videos.
This is a moss agate wire wrapped in silver wire – this of course is available in my Etsy shop, I say of course, but you probably have not seen it yet. The whole process did take about 4 hours to create it from start to finish; I uploaded the condensed video of just over 10 minutes here. I created this piece live on Instagram, so I re-used the footage to showcase my process.
This pendant was also created during an Instagram live event, once again the whole process took just over 3 hours, the footage I condensed the live footage to just over 4 minutes, and you can see it here. This piece can be purchased in my British online shop on Folksy.
These pendants and many more are available in my two shops, I do ship internationally, and if your budget may be tight, get in touch, give me a shout, let’s see what we can do via my shops. Of course a like will never go amiss either.
Thank you for taking the time to watch, visit or read this blog.
Catch you on the interwebs team.
Just a quick shout out to everyone – from the 17th to the 18th April 2021 my Etsy shop is part of a virtual market organised by The Pop Up Emporium a British platform who promotes markets for British artists.

As part of the market I am also doing a live craft demonstration from 1 pm UK time, and will be live on my Instagram for at least 3 hours :) Takes about that long to create a wire wrapped pendant.
If you wish to find out about the art of wire wrapping, do read this blog entry to find out what wire wrapping means to me.

At the start of December 2020 I took part in the Folksy Christmas market with my Folksy shop. During the two days of the virtual market, I did some live demonstrations on my Instagram feed. Of course I saved these videos as a way of showcasing my process of creating a pendant and you can hear me speak about some of my pendants that were available on the day, or continue to be available on my Folksy Shop.
At the time I was live for about 8 hours in total.
I completed the two pendants below during the live event.
I you wish to see the process you can head to my Instagram feed and watch them all, or click on the links: Agate slice video 1; Agate slice video 2; Labradorite pendant video 1; Labradorite pendant video 2.
The footage was not edited, it is “as it was recorded” – so if it makes you chuckle; just go with the flow and I thank you for joining me for the journey.

This holiday season 2020, for every item I sell I am donating £1 to charity.
Earlier this month I had the chance to fulfill my promise. Join me in creating little miracles in the world.
Join me and hundreds of makers this weekend 5th – 6th December 2020 for the online market via Peddle.
My FOLKSY shop will be part of a virtual market.
You can follow me live on my Instagram, as I will be posting live videos of how I create a unique wire wrapped piece.
I will be doing lots of little videos, pictures, etc as part of the market presence.
Yup, this year I decided for every piece of jewellery I sell in the run up to Christmas, I will donate £1 per item sold to a local charity dear to my heart.
I already offer FREE postage in the UK, contributing to a lower price for the buyer, but I commit to also donating to charity.
If I sold all my 200+items that would mean £200 to charity, at a time when as a human family we need to work together to help each other navigate 2020.
In total I was able to donate £10+ Gift Aid to two charities in the UK, following the sale of 10 items in the run up to Christmas 2020.
My two online shops are on Etsy (US platform) and Folksy (UK platform). Each shop has a unique stock.

Golden glass beads teamed with dark grey filigree beads all shaped together into a cross motif. Complemented by a tarnish resistant wire wrapped bail and free form chain.
Available to buy in my ETSY shop.
These unique pendants are all handmade using the wire wrapping technique.
The centres are sea glass shards; hand painted and fired; wrapped in tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire.
The sea glass shards were hand picked from the shores of Barcelona; Spain – and are painted in the style of the famous Spanish architect Gaudi.
Antoni Gaudi was the architect who designed the Sagrada Familia temple in Barcelona; and is famed for his unique buildings which adorn the streets in Barcelona.
A 10 piece limited edition collection is available on my Folksy Shop.
Not long left until Christmas time is here for Christians across the globe. It is a time to spend with family and friends. It is a time for celebration and gifting.
For many of us, this time can be very stressful to get the “right gift”. Gifts do not have to be big. Gifts can be small and home made. Or even locally made.
These beautiful pieces are still available in my Etsy shop.
Shop will be taking a break from the 15th December, until January 2018, when it will reopen. Hopefully I will have some new pieces added to the collection.
A short holiday, is always a wonderful time to recharge.
Continue to shop local, continue to support local artists, if not through buying then through promoting your local shops though blogs; liking the artist pages. Let’s support creativity; imagination and diversity.
The following pendants are made from sediment stones; picked up from the shores of the island of Crete; in Greece.
To complete the design I have hand painted each stones using acrylic paints and for durability they have all been coated with clear varnish.

This delicate pendant was conceived from the desire of incorporating precious metals into my wire wrapping.
The silver wire is .99 pure. in total there are 6 g of silver wire incorporated in the design. The stone itself is also a semi precious stone – jade. A beautiful stone which plays in hues of light green and blue green veins.
The delicate features of the webbing would make it a perfect compliment to an evening attire; would go perfectly with that delicate “black number” that all women have in their wardrobe. Of course as the design is avant garde; boho chic – it can compliment your smart casual style too.

These pendants came to be mostly because i have a myriad of individual beads which can’t be made into full necklaces for the lack of symmetry. It is like having that odd sock you can’t ware; similarly odd beads are much harder to incorporate; therefore each one of them now has a new life.
Can be worn as part of day time or evening ware.
