The inspiration behind this necklace and earring set is a necklace from 4AD. That particular necklace was made out of glass and shells apparently with copper findings.
My set is made from rose quartz and turquoise all set with tarnish resistant silver plated copper.
The earrings have a sterling silver ear wire.

Last month I was showing of a triangular brecciated-jasper pendant, this month I listed my second piece with a distinctly different and yet similar stone. This brecciated-jasper stone has high levels of hematite veins all over, so the best silver filled setting was a very simple wire weave.
If you would like to own it, click here – to visit my Etsy listing, and of course if jasper is not your thing, have a look around I have a large collection of wearable art pieces available.
A unique set of earrings in fimo, hand created from start to finish. The patterning on the body of the earring was created through the layering of fimo cylinders side by side then rolled together by hand to create an intricate pattern in purple and red.

Saturday 06/02/21 at 5pm (UK time) I will do a live feed on my Instagram @artistic_ambivalence, where I will be showcasing my Etsy Collection of handmade jewellery.
I will be talking about the pieces I have, the inspiration behind them, the stones and the materials.
I will be live for 1 hour, talking about the pendants, the earrings, to the sound of some relaxing music.
Another modern and unusual pendant, this time the shell I picked up on the shores of Portugal plays center stage for this one of a kind jewellery piece.
Join me for live wire wrapping demonstration from the 5-6 December 2020 and watch me create a pendant live whilst taking part in the Folksy Christmas market .
Yup, this year I decided for every piece of jewellery I sell in the run up to Christmas, I will donate £1 per item sold to a local charity dear to my heart.
I already offer FREE postage in the UK, contributing to a lower price for the buyer, but I commit to also donating to charity.
If I sold all my 200+items that would mean £200 to charity, at a time when as a human family we need to work together to help each other navigate 2020.
In total I was able to donate £10+ Gift Aid to two charities in the UK, following the sale of 10 items in the run up to Christmas 2020.
My two online shops are on Etsy (US platform) and Folksy (UK platform). Each shop has a unique stock.
Not long left until Christmas time is here for Christians across the globe. It is a time to spend with family and friends. It is a time for celebration and gifting.
For many of us, this time can be very stressful to get the “right gift”. Gifts do not have to be big. Gifts can be small and home made. Or even locally made.
These beautiful pieces are still available in my Etsy shop.
To help Santa along a bit…. if you buy from the UK shipping is on me until the 15th December 2017; standard shipping charges apply world wide.
Shop will be taking a break from the 15th December, until January 2018, when it will reopen. Hopefully I will have some new pieces added to the collection.
A short holiday, is always a wonderful time to recharge.
Continue to shop local, continue to support local artists, if not through buying then through promoting your local shops though blogs; liking the artist pages. Let’s support creativity; imagination and diversity.
The stone itself was the inspiration for this piece; the webbing and detail allows for the stone to be center stage. It is bold and delicate at the same time.
The design was a fluent inspirational work; often when I pick up a stone it is impossible to know what the end piece will look like. it may mean that it will start off as a simple design and it evolves along the way. Sometimes I create something then just to cut it all up and start again. Often something that starts off as simple; requires additional twists and turns for the final piece to emerge.
Wire wrapping makes each piece individual; I do not use templates to create the pieces; they evolve organically through the process of wrapping. Each piece takes a number of hours to complete; whilst each wrap is done by hand..
Lapis lazuli has always been a precious commodity. In the time of Leonardo DaVinci; Michelangelo and decades previous the color blue was obtained by crushing the stone and turning it into a vibrant color. If you were able to have blue in your painting back in those days it meant you were rich. Or as one musician said at one point “rich beyond your wildest dreams”.
The elegance of this pendant reminds me of those days long gone; when elegance was the word of the day; you can buy it on Folksy.
This delicate pendant was conceived from the desire of incorporating precious metals into my wire wrapping.
The silver wire is .99 pure. in total there are 6 g of silver wire incorporated in the design. The stone itself is also a semi precious stone – jade. A beautiful stone which plays in hues of light green and blue green veins.
The delicate features of the webbing would make it a perfect compliment to an evening attire; would go perfectly with that delicate “black number” that all women have in their wardrobe. Of course as the design is avant garde; boho chic – it can compliment your smart casual style too.

This intricate pendant is made from tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire.
The stone is a labradorite gem stone playing in hues of green blue and grey.
The labradorite gem stone is 2.5 cm; whilst the full pendant is 7 cm in height.
The elegant pendant would work perfectly as part of an evening attire; though given its classical look – can also match any elegant office look.
Any of my pieces can be worn both as part of a relaxed day time as well as a more formal ensemble.
(A pendant of this dimension and intricacy take several hours to complete; the stone is recycled from another chain go labradorites; and may have minor imperfections; the design evolved organically as I tried to encapsulate the stone; therefore this pendant is unique and will not be able to be reproduced in the same manner; as the stone will be different and the wrapping will also differ. If you wish to own it; you can be sure that it will be one of a kind)

**A NOTE: Wire wrapping is a genre of jewelry which requires pliable wire to be shaped into each piece. As a piece progresses, the wire hardens and it will retain it’s shape, however if you try to bend it or it gets squished, it will bend. Do not place your wire wrapped jewelry in a purse or pocket. :)
**Note: though all silver plated pieces are made from tarnish resistant wire; it may age; as most metals do. Mild soap and water shouldn’t damage the finish, however I do recommend removing your jewelry before showering or bathing; using household cleaners, chemicals, or essential oils; doing manual jobs like gardening or washing dishes; and applying lotions. Do not use jewelry cleaners on this jewelry. Sometimes the plating can wear off with excessive use – therefore I recommend not wearing the pieces every day. Rotating your beautiful jewelry pieces creates a new look for you; and changes your mood for that day.

Agates are grounding stones, bringing about an emotional physical and intellectual balance. They aid in centering and stabilizing physical energy. Agate has the power to harmonize yin and yang, the positive and the negative forces that hold the universe in place. A soothing and calming stone, agate works slowly but brings great strength. Its multiple layers can bring hidden information to light.
