Last month I was showing of a triangular brecciated-jasper pendant, this month I listed my second piece with a distinctly different and yet similar stone. This brecciated-jasper stone has high levels of hematite veins all over, so the best silver filled setting was a very simple wire weave.
If you would like to own it, click here – to visit my Etsy listing, and of course if jasper is not your thing, have a look around I have a large collection of wearable art pieces available.
Thank you for your visit

Random acts of kindness is something that is indeed dear to my heart, as this can help someone understand that the human family is indeed a family. When you help out a perfect stranger because you have the means, the kindness you showed ripples through time and space and unites us all in love.
“Paying it forward” is another way to show that one day someone believed in you enough to help you out, so that when the time comes and you have the means to do so, you can in turns brighter up someone else’s day.
Hope you have a wonderful day out there in the world, and that someone thinks of you today.
Send a virtual hug, or give an actual hug, say a nice word to your neighbor or engage in conversation someone who seems to need it.
To you my reader, I send gratitude and wish you a wonderful day wherever you are in the world.
YOU MATTER, YOU ARE SPECIAL, YOU ARE LOVED.

At the start of December 2020 I took part in the Folksy Christmas market with my Folksy shop. During the two days of the virtual market, I did some live demonstrations on my Instagram feed. Of course I saved these videos as a way of showcasing my process of creating a pendant and you can hear me speak about some of my pendants that were available on the day, or continue to be available on my Folksy Shop.
At the time I was live for about 8 hours in total.
I completed the two pendants below during the live event.
I you wish to see the process you can head to my Instagram feed and watch them all, or click on the links: Agate slice video 1; Agate slice video 2; Labradorite pendant video 1; Labradorite pendant video 2.
The footage was not edited, it is “as it was recorded” – so if it makes you chuckle; just go with the flow and I thank you for joining me for the journey.

This piece was inspired by the British royal wedding of the year in 2018. Botswana was where the couple spent some of their time.
The brown colour with the delicate white lining is almost seethrough; to reflect the delicate stye of the stone i created a simple yet elegant wrapping around the stone. The wrapping is using silver wire; which converts into a very delicate pendant; perfect for office or casual wear.
If you wish to own this unique piece; head to the Folksy shop.
Not long left until Christmas time is here for Christians across the globe. It is a time to spend with family and friends. It is a time for celebration and gifting.
For many of us, this time can be very stressful to get the “right gift”. Gifts do not have to be big. Gifts can be small and home made. Or even locally made.
These beautiful pieces are still available in my Etsy shop.
Shop will be taking a break from the 15th December, until January 2018, when it will reopen. Hopefully I will have some new pieces added to the collection.
A short holiday, is always a wonderful time to recharge.
Continue to shop local, continue to support local artists, if not through buying then through promoting your local shops though blogs; liking the artist pages. Let’s support creativity; imagination and diversity.
This simple yet elegant silver pendant is made using 0.99 silver wire. 7g of wire was intertwined for a simple elegant design.
The centre stage is taken up by a delicate pink opal sourced from SaraGemsCo (Etsy) – country of origin -India. Sarah had this to say about the pendant “You are really a great and skilled artist. You really made this pendant a beautiful art piece. You turned only wires and a cabochon into a pendant without any silver welding joints. We really appreciate your Work. We know it takes so much time, work and skill. Hats Off to your Beautiful Work. “
Due to the delicate colouring of the stone; I wanted to create a simple design to showcase the beauty of the gem.
The piece will come in an organza bag for safe storage and a 21 inch silver plated chain free of charge.
*Though I used silver wire for this piece; like all metals silver will age; so please cleaning gently with no harsh chemicals.
Preferably do take it off prior to a shower or a bath; as it may tarnish the wire.
Always rotate your jewellery pieces; wearing one item all the time may tarnish the piece; having different pendants on creates a new look.
Available to buy on here: Pink Opal Pendant
I am always excited when I am able to produce individual pieces from drawing to finished article.
This piece is the result of jotting down some drawings whilst having my morning Saturday coffee. It is simple and yet elegant with clan flowing design.
The hematite beads hang wrapped in the same tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire.
It hangs beautifully from a 24″ chain – is suitable for an elegant evening out or indeed part of a day time attire. Below is an opportunity for you to purchase this unique piece.
If you wish to own this beautiful piece, visit my Etsy shop – click here
**A NOTE: Wire wrapping is a genre of jewelry which requires pliable wire to be shaped into each piece. As a piece progresses, the wire hardens and it will retain it’s shape, however if you try to bend it or it gets squished, it will bend. Do not place your wire wrapped jewelry in a purse or pocket. :) Though all silver plated pieces are made from tarnish resistant wire; it may age; as most metals do. Mild soap and water shouldn’t damage the finish, however I do recommend removing your jewelry before showering or bathing; using household cleaners, chemicals, or essential oils; doing manual jobs like gardening or washing dishes; and applying lotions. Do not use jewelry cleaners on this jewelry. Sometimes the plating can wear off with excessive use – therefore I recommend not wearing the pieces every day. Rotating your beautiful jewelry pieces creates a new look for you; and changes your mood for that day.
This intricate pendant is wire wrapped in tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire.
The gem stone is a translucent semi precious green Jade stone. Due to the translucency of the stone photographing the true colour was tricky; the stone has silver veins running through it; giving the pendant a unique look pending on the light.
The size of the pendant will look amazing on a long chain (included). The pendant comes packaged in a gold organza bag; for safe storage.

Sea shell pendant
(price included postage and packaging; 24" silver plated chain; comes in a handy storage pouch - international shipping)
£31.00
This pendant is hand made using a sea shell that I found on the shores of the ocean in Portugal. The town of Cascais was an ideal place to collect shells on the sandy beaches. True it takes some searching to find inspiring items; but when you find it – it just allows for imagination to flow. due to the shimmering light of the shell – i felt introducing a pearl in the pendant would create a story for this piece.
The shell has been coated with clear varnish to preserve it from the effects of the atmosphere. Nestled in the wire wrapping is a cultured pearl. The wire wrapping is made using tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire.
The pendant is reversible; if can be used either with the pearl showing or its back of the shell. This pendant would suit anyone who like eco jewelry or jewelry made from up-cycled materials.
If you wish to purchase this item you can do so buying it here or by visiting my Etsy page: Sea shell pendant

This piece came about whilst trying to re-produce a drawing of mine.In fairness the drawing would lend itself perfectly to a soldered piece and as I have not learned that technique i tried to reproduce it in wire.
The pendant has 5 overlapping layers; each weaved on its own and then attached one on top of the other. It is build up to have a three dimensional feel to it. The core has an Obsidian black shard suspended on wire.
it is indeed a statement piece at 6 cm X 5 cm it hangs well on a longer chain; and can compliment any day time or evening attire.
It is unique as the same patterns will not be able to be reproduced; even if i tried to create it again the shape the size the webb will be different; just as our lives is different from one day to the next

The inspiration for this pendant came by using a tutorial. Yes I try to see how others are doing things to gain insight into methods of wrapping.
The intricate weaving and shapes were dictated by the wires and the beads; and it allowed me to lose myself in the detail when making it. By the time the pendant was finished it dawned on me that it could be linked up with the steampunk fashion trend; due to the curvy and circular lines of the weave.
As it is a hand made object; re-creating an exact replica will be impossible; which is why it is a unique piece of jewelry.
This item will look nice on a long hanging necklace and can be worn during the day or as part of a night outfit.

These pendants came to be mostly because i have a myriad of individual beads which can’t be made into full necklaces for the lack of symmetry. It is like having that odd sock you can’t ware; similarly odd beads are much harder to incorporate; therefore each one of them now has a new life.
Can be worn as part of day time or evening ware.

The pendant itself is up-cycled from a botryolite chain. I felt that each stone should have its own setting rather than just being hung on one thread; therefore each stone will be changed into unique pendants, weaved in different shapes.
The pendant can be worn either with the full stone showing or the weaving taking center stage. Can be worn using a silver or copper chain; will look amazing worn as a day time pendant or as part of your evening ware.

The amethyst stone inspired the pendant.
Due to its conic shape and manner in which a drilled whole was situated I knew that it needs to be suspended; in order to showcase its beauty.
The design evolved through a composite of wire weaving styles; if you look closely a variety of intricate patterns emerge.
The size of the amethyst and shape also made for a number of pendant sizes; the wire wrapping matched the stone size and shape.
These pendants will be a wonderful treat for anyone who likes over-sized jewellery.

The inspiration for the stone came from the unusual shape. It is almost like a teardrop. Wrapping the copper wire landed itself to have an asymmetrical spheroid wrap at the top. The wire wrapped circles naturally fit into the curvature of the gem.

The main shell I found it on the shores in Kimmeridge – South of England. I knew then that the only way to use it is to have something else suspended inside it. This gave birth to the piece you see before you. The trickiest part was working out how to attach the second shell inside so as to have the illusion as if one floats inside the other.
