Monaco – Monte Carlo Bay at sunset in 2008.
The yachts docked in the harbour awaiting their passengers to return.
Yesterday I asked you if you have managed to find a direction in which you are travelling.
Today, I address those who are still docked in the harbour, in the hopes that some unseen power is going to come and provide them with some direction.
There are also some of you who are anchored in port, working on unloading the cargo you have been carrying around with you for years.
There may also be some of you who are anchored, and it is in this harbour that you can spend some time to regroup.
And there are those who had to take shelter in the bay to hide from an oncoming storm.
As human beings, we can be at any stage in our evolution, and it is ok to be on any point on your path, as long as you recognise what makes you stay in that particular harbour and then regroup and set sail again.
Of course, if you recognise what is happening, then it also means there is someone at the helm of the ship; and therefore, it can make a decision on the direction of travel.
You may not have a clear map, but you have a direction or an endpoint to travel to.
Of course, for some; the map is straightforward and your ship leaves the harbour, and sails straight to the end point. And for some, the path is winding and you may need to take shelter in many ports before you make it to your end destination.
However you chose to make it there; it is your own journey.
The most important thing is to have a captain on the ship. The captain to be in charge of said ship and make sure you lift the anchor.
Dragging that anchor on the bottom of the sea or the ocean floor will just slow the ship down and even run ground.
So, I guess, as you make your way in your direction of travel, you have to make sure you steer out of the harbour safely. You are not dragging dead weight around. The captain is in charge, has a clear destination in mind. You have all the necessary supplies to see you through your journey and have the power to make it to your end destination.
The sun may be setting, and the anchor may still be lowered, but I am hoping that your ship will only stay in Monte Carlo Bay long enough to party a bit and then you are on your way.
I hope you will not be lost in the Casino. Partying until the end of days. But when the sun is up again; you will be heading to your destination.
Anchored …but not… anchored…
Time to take out your diary and take some notes when answering the questions.
