A vibrant display of illuminated fish and lotus flowers reflected in water at night.

I took this picture last week-end at a light show in London. What you can not see in the image are the bubbles that were floating in the air, but I guess you are just about able to make them out at the tope of the white globe. Being in London after a year and a half reminded me how much I love that city. But that is not why you tuned in today to my blog.

The title today is “as above so below”, this is usually followed by “as within so without”. And if you have read my blog for a while you may have seen this mentioned before.

These two statements really try to let us know that we are a mirror of our celestial views, whilst the internal world is reflected in the outer world.

AS human beings we perhaps perceive our existence as singular, as disconnected from everything. I guess this is why we have been so caught up with the modern world, and we forget that our actions have a consequence. We have lost touch with the outer world. And I can already hear the sceptics from the back row, as they fling things at me, telling me how the modern world is the bizknees. And I guess the modern world has it’s place, especially as it allows us to communicate with each other in ways we have never had the freedom to do in the past.

The downside of the modern world is (as I said before) that we are so busy not listening to our inner world, that we have lost connections with much of the wonder within. We are so busy with the outer world, that we no longer listen to intuition, we pay no attention to our pains, we pay no attention to our food, we pay not attention to the minute sounds around us. We have lost the interlinking vibe that made us one with nature and the universe.

Just like the fish were reflected in the water, so are we a reflection of what it is around us, or shall I say – what is around us, is a reflection of what is happening inside.

You don’t believe me? Try it. Try being super miserable and see how the world appears to be miserable. Try looking at the world with gratitude, and watch the world blossoming into a fabulous place to live in.

As above, so below – as within, so without.
