Today I take you back to streets. Remember the wisdom from the underpass? This is the message that hits you when you come out the other end. Not only that you get challenged that whether you can or can’t you are right, it reminds you that comfort and magic live in different places. You come out of the underpass and you are faced with your deepest darkest recesses of your mind to be told that where you are in comfort, is not allowing for growth, that magic happens outside our comfort. It is then befitting that next to this haphazardly painted “wisdom” there is grime and grit and dirt.
In my mind when I look at this image I am reminded that my comfort zone feels almost like being stuck in a swamp where everything is familiar, nothing gets moved and therefore the cobwebs start to form, complacency kicks in, and as the dust becomes thicker and thicker we get swallowed by mediocrity.
Comfort is good for a while, to find our centre, to find out base, and then like any evolving human, we need to move, we need to change, we need to leave the familiar behind and shift into the unfamiliar.
Today I was reminded of this that indeed movement is good, that evolution is good, that emotions are what moves us and makes us take action.
When was the last time you did something differently? When did you last cleaned off the cobwebs of the self, cleared the dust, and discovered the treasures hidden away?
Are you ready to see magic happen? Or are you comfortable in your own history and being? Are you ready to expand your horizons?
And of course there will be chaos to start off with, as you take things apart and you look at the bits that you need, what you no longer use, what no longer serves your purpose and with thanks you need to let go.
Of course there will be emotions coming up as you sift through the memories, the experiences, and what you will notice that when they subside a new beginning starts to take shape.
