A pigeon crashing through the air, and a title that says “duck”. Why call it duck when it is a pigeon?!

Do you ever feel like the world is about to crash on your head because of all the stress of living, and something inside of you just wants to say duck?! How many of you do you take notice of that inner voice, that speaks so softly to you asking you to take head of what is coming next, that you may need to be mindful of what is coming your way? Are you able to take out that shy voice form all the noise around?

This image is a bird in flight as it swoops down ready to perch somewhere close by, it is a picture in motion, almost making the views want to instinctively duck. So yes, an apt name for the title, I would say.

So how do you learn to take cover when needed, and re-emerge when is safe?

How do you know you are safe?

In a world where your senses are so over stimulated, where your neurons continue to fire every minute of every day, without rest, how can you take a break from it all to sift through the noise and find the calm, the safe place, the serene space where you can pre-empt any new event coming your way.

When we start to balance out our inner world; when we start feeling safe within our mind and body, we are able to calm the noise and be able to navigate each moment with precision, and nothing seems to take us by surprise.

When was the last time you observed the passing of time, through observing your beath, you know that automatic cycle of breathing in breathing out, and breathing in again, and out again, an breathing in and breathing out, and the next moment you can feel your body feel more at rest and the mind no longer rushes to the next task.

I challenge you, my reader to do just that, every day observe your breath with purpose, tell your lungs to take breath then let the breath out, and do this for short time, and see the changes.

If you observed the breath, and calmed the body and your inner world, do you think you would need to duck, or would just gently move to the side, allowing the bird to fly past?

Duck?! or move….the choice is yours.
