I took this picture at the London Zoo, from a respectful distance and with a long lens. The intensity of this tiger’s stare is captivating.

Have you found yourself as of late squinting into the distance, wondering what will come your way in the future? I guess everyone did that on New Year’s Eve, setting themself goals and expectations.

Throughout history human kind has tried to figure it out, but in some cultures on the globe, the future was not something that had any meaning, as it is not something tangible, it is always somewhere in the distance, unattainable. At the same time, contemplating one’s past, we can understand ourselves much better, it is almost a part of ourselves that we can have a full-on conversation with and find the wisdom needed for the present, so that you can sew the seed of what is to come. Of course, if we look at the past as a place of lessons that bring on wisdom, we are able to recognise that in order for us to move on, to expand our points of view, we almost need a past so that we can than provide ourselves with a present, from where to dip back into the past and come back to the present.

Looking into the future we are projecting our imagination; we are almost providing the fuel for us to make the move towards the next step. But like when you try to grow a plant, you first have to burry something today, for it to be left alone in the past to germinate in the future.

What seed have you planted today so that tomorrow is already in the past, with the hope that it will bring your what you are hoping for in the future?

Are you just eyeing your future like the tiger was eyeing all the passers by, or are you planting for the future?

My challenge today, it to plant a small seed for your future today, and watch it germinate and grow and develop. Take a journey into yourself to discover your future you.

Are you eyeing the future?
