We continue with the theme in nature with a beautiful butterfly and a wasp/bee enjoying a much deserved lunch. I do not often see butterflies in the city so when I do notice them I am literally like bees to pollen, I just have to photograph hem. What I love about this image is how two different insects can co-exist and enjoy the space with little interference with each other. Sometimes the butterfly would go find a different flower sometimes the wasp, and round and round they flew engaged in a dance of musical chairs.
How do you enter in this harmonious dance with others around you? Can you interchange with others in a way that it looks like a dance? Can you co-exist with others so different to you, but yet be acceptant of them? Can you enjoy the company of others in a stress free way? How do you relate to others?
Nature is harmonious, there is a balance between forces, for nature always wants to achieve balance. We touched on this a few weeks back, nature wants to get back to homeostasis. To all that’s light, there is darkness, to all that’s beautiful there is ugliness, for all that is peaceful there is conflict. And yet as humans we forget how to acknowledge or accept that which we do not like about ourselves or others, we struggle to recognise negative things for their positive potential, we reject conflict as if it is always a source of pain.
From early childhood I have wondered what is the grain of good in humans, and perhaps this has made me seen as trusting, but for me it was extremely difficult to not recognise the seed of goodness in humans or animals. Sure I experienced a fair share of less than pleasant humans in my world, and yes I knew that what goes round comes around, but at my core I could not hep but hope that the person who has done me wrong can find that grain of goodness. I may harbour negative feelings towards those individuals, they have harmed me after all, but at the same time I do hope that at some point they realised the errors of their way and perhaps were able to be better humans.
Harmony can not be achieved without balancing the two opposing sides to a point of equilibrium. If there is too much of one thing and less of the other, there is no longer harmony, there is no more equilibrium.
A few weeks back I challenged you to acknowledge your dark side, as well as your light side – what do you think, are they balanced, or are they out of kilter with each other? Perhaps there is some work to be done.
