It is before first light that the night is the darkest, and sometimes this is true for human beings also. Often before we have a revelation, before we uncover a new truth, before we transform our way of thinking that things look bleaker than ever.

Have you noticed that before something new begins your system feels the most afraid? Have you noticed how your body fizzes with energy before a change over? Have you noticed how your own inner world becomes darker when a new start is about to reveal itself?

What makes us human beings so weary of the absence of light? What makes us feel afraid of the shadows? Yes in the ancient world perhaps most things were deadly to us, we did not know much back then, other than how to survive the next day. But today we are modern humans. We have light, we have knowledge, we have literally as many resources and tools at our disposal as we want and yet we continue to be frightened. Is this about our own mortality? Is it about the fear of what is yet to come?

How would life be different if you looked towards the future in hope? How would your life change if you embraced the darkness and sought the wisdom in what is trying bring you? What if the bear in the candlelight, was just that, a bear? You know you can make this image into anything you wish? You can turn the light on, you can colour the bear in whichever colour you wish, you can even make it smile.

How would life be different if you used your imagination for good, rather than evil? What if in a change you saw opportunity rather than loss? How would your life be different if you looked into Pandora’s box and you took hold of hope and held it close and listened to it’s wisdom?
