I took this picture in London from the Sky garden. I used the miniaturisation setting on my camera to create a shift in the view point, as if the cars you see on the street are indeed miniatures on an imaginary street.
I guess what i wanted to shift your thoughts to is perception. How do you use your perception of the world? Are you using this tool for good or for evil? How much what you perceive around you is actual real and how much you are skewing your reality to fit the internal experience that has nothing to do with the external reality?
I watched a show the other day called “Rewired”. And the host of the showing was talking about this very concept of perception and how we go into a loop inside our mind that is thinking and feeling and feeling and thinking and how most of the stuff we have been feeling and thinking and thinking and feeling and how most of the thoughts we have in a day are the very thoughts we had the previous day. We are literally creating our own miserable thinking patterns to re-validate an emotion we had 20years ago, we literally create our own misery.
So I am asking you once more, how do you perceive the world? What have you done differently today, so that you break the cycle of this thinking and feeling pattern, that just cycles back up again in the same way.
Isn’t it crazy that most people on this planet expect change to take place, and yet they do not open their mind to a different perspective, and yet they are hoping for a different outcome?
If you always think the same, you will always feel the same, you will always do the same behaviours, and re-live the same thoughts and the same feelings and the same behaviours and same feelings and same thoughts and same behaviours. Don’t you feel like the hamster on the wheel? Do you not want to get off that wheel and maybe walk in nature? Don’t you want to actually live a different existence?
I guess if you are reading this you are ready to change. In actual fact by the time you have read this blog post, you are a slightly different version of yourself. Now imagine what it would feel like to actually answer the questions? What do I want to see instead? Am I happy to look at the world through his miniaturised lens? Or am I ready to put on a wider lens and see the world through a wider view? Maybe I am seeing the world too wide, so i may need to focus in on a little bit.
What is your perception?
