Today we start with a black-and-white image suggesting to us that there is only one way and for sure if you enter the wrong path; you are in trouble.

Today I challenge you to consider how many times in your life you took one path, just to recognise that it was the totally wrong one to take.

Like most people, you would remember the most obvious paths, and the ones that create the most negative reaction in us, the shame, the guilt.

But then I want to challenge you to think, when did you give up on a dream or a project or a path because you thought you did not have the skill, the courage, the backing of others to take the path?

How do we get over the obstacles in our lives? The ones that say purely “no entry”? Should we still decide to follow that instinct? If you pursued the path and you knew you would arrive at the most amazing version of yourself, would you bypass the “no entry” sign?

What obstacles are in your path?

What stops you from pursuing your most amazing future?

When did making a decision became so black and white; that is either this or either that, with no path of return or turn it into colour?

When did you get so embroiled in your own insecurities; that you made the decision that dramatic lighting is the way to go?

When have you decided that fighting your own self; is the best way forward?

My image was indeed in colour. For dramatic reasons, I made it monochrome, to make it more impactful.

In the same way, we often take all colour out of our lives, in the hope that life will be simpler, easier to navigate.

Ask yourself:  are you willing to overcome that “no entry” sign in your own life, where you limit yourself for fear of what comes next.

The future has no face. We can only rely on where we have been. So why not embrace the past? Honour the lessons it has given you and open that door to those new opportunities
