Once again an image from the natural world. An insect which looks like a bee but perhaps it is a wilder version (forgive me I do not have enough knowledge to identify the species) it’s collecting pollen from the flowers. To this creature the pollen is a life, life without it, it will likely to perish. And once the precious pollen is gathered it needs to find it’s way back to the next deposit it, and do that all over again, completing hundreds of trips in a day to sustain itself and perhaps a whole colony.
As human beings we do a similar journey when hunger strikes, we go out, we gather, we return to the “hive”, perhaps we do not do as many trips but out need to feed continues none the less.
How does this relate to you? And why should you be interested in the habits of an insect? My question for today to you is….how do you nourish your body? Do you over eat? Do you under eat? Do you drink to much? Do you hydrate your body? Do you provide your body with the right nutrients so that it can survive in harsh times? or do you over indulge to the point that your body no longer understands what it wants?
Do you nourish your mind? Do you seek knowledge that will enhance your self? Do you ask and challenge your mind to grow?
Do you nourish your soul? Do you provide it with time to heal? Are you gentle with your soul? Have you made sure that your inner child is able to recognise that when it was indeed at that age, many things were beyond it’s power, and then with gentle voice, he/she learns that there will be a time when they will have the power to fend off that which was difficult?
The self need all three aspects of it’s being nourished in equal measure, so that when it becomes conscious it can have the strength and knowledge to find solutions to every day’s challenges.
Balance is what all matter is trying to achieve.
