When we want to move on with life, we often try to do an overview of what we have lived so far. We tend to add up all the good times and all the bad times; as if tallying things up and trying to wight out the pros and cons of the change.

Sometimes and overview is useful just to take stock of where we are in life and whether change is needed.

Sometimes we are just recapitulating things to try and bring resolution to some thoughts we have been having.

Sometimes an overview can be the “hindsight” we have when we have reached a point and we are faced with the fact that perhaps the decision we made at a certain point perhaps was not the right one or perhaps it was just the right thing to do.

Sometimes is also useful to just be the observer of life rather than being sucked into drama.

However you look at this image today, it allows for us to reflect and see the world from above, observing the people in the picture as if hovering over them. Each individual is a world of it’s own, each person in the image has a story and a history, but for the purpose of the image they are one. The shade and light in the image give depth to an otherwise boring scene, in a similar way how good and bad events in our life gives depth to our experiences in the world.

Sometimes it is ok to just watch the world go by and just enjoy the ride.
