After the demolition of the building, this will be a brand new set of apartment blocks, it is as if nothing was taken out, in order for the new to arise.
As human being we are taken apart every day, just to be rebuilt once a gain in the morning. For some their whole life is a demolition site, with little hope of rebuilding. For some the demolition is for a short while, and instead of the ruins of the former self, a new version emerges almost instantly. The fancy word for someone who can rise from their own ashes very quickly is resilience.
What kind of person are you? One who has their life as a demolition site every day of their lives? Or do you have an inbuilt repair system that transforms the rubble into the material for a new build?
Throughout history stones have been recycled from one building to the next, because it was difficult to extract the stone, therefore they made sure to not waste it. So effectively many of the buildings around the world, are technically raised from the ashes of former buildings.
So if architects and builders were able to recycle something that in the past used to lay in ruins, why can’t humans use their own experiences as fuel for their next adventure?
Why can we as a species be so abstract in our thinking, that we can apply one rule in one domain, but we fail to transfer that same idea into our own lives?
If you were to identify some ruins of your old experiences, how could it fuel the change you are going through today?
Time to take out your diary and take some notes when answering the questions.
