Today when I was choosing the image, my eyes stumbled upon this one, the growth lines on a piece of wood. I used a similar image a few months ago, and no doubt the discussion was in a similar fashion. For some reason it was needed to brin gup the topic of ripples again.

I guess today I wanted to draw your attention to the splash you are making around you. As I contemplated the image today, I wondered what type of a splash I am making in the world. Is it actually a splash or is it a mere movement imperceptible to anyone not paying closer attention.

I guess it made me think of the impact I am making in the world, in a similar way as I do every few months. Every few months I wonder whether what I do for a living matters, whether the conversations I am having are worth while, whether the short time I have with another person indeed makes a difference. With most my clients I have one hour a week to change habits of a life time. With some clients I have brief encounters of just a few texts, because they can not see me for a session and therefore I wonder what difference do I make to their lives. I wonder if I am like a stone that hits the calm surface of the water and affects all layers in a good way, or am I just adding to the problem? Do I disturb the peace, or am I helping the person to experience peace.

As we go about our lives, we are never sure of the impact we have on the outer world through our mere presence or the words we say, or even the vibe we are giving out. We go about in the world as individuals with little regards of the impact on others. And I guess today I am not talking so much of the physical, as I am talking about the energetical impact we have.

I had to make another observation today when I interacted with two people who wee in my presence as a duo. One of them was singing, with an air of tranquillity and joy, a calm melodic voice. The other was rugged and rough in their movement, looked rushed, looked out of kilter with the world. And I had to observe for myself the difference about them, they work together, hey run a business together, and they were such opposites in how they are, and yet they continue the partnership. I guess if one was going out in the world on their own they would make a very different impact than the other. Their energies would get very different reactions from the word around them.

So when you are out and about, do you take notice of the splashes or ripples you make around you? Do you have a chance to gently move about the world? Do you glide through life, or do you crash through life? Are the ripple you make gentle or rough?
