2020 has been and gone; and as a world, we stood by and watched as so much unfolded, imploded, rose up and withered away.
Our world became a rollercoaster of emotions. We had highs. We had lows. And everything in between.
We were told 2020 was a tough year, like we have not seen for a while, though I am sure that you can attest that we have lived through worse.
In January everyone started to reflect back on the year past or looked ahead in the hope that something new and better will come.
As we all opened our doors to 2021, once again we had come to that point of standby. The dog in the image can represent our own perspective.
As you look at this furry friend you can imagine him looking back at his human, almost asking: “Are you coming? You want me to pick up my own stick? Why are you lazy? Come on already! The stick is just there! Come, fetch with me!”
Another could look at the same image and think: “This dog is not looking at his human, he is watching what else is going on around. He does not expect anyone to pick up his stick and play with him. He is just looking in the distance.”
Another might think: “He will be off soon, running along the beach, free from all worries and tribulations of the world. And as he sets off, he will be back again.”
In reality, this is just a snapshot in time. Whether the dog comes or goes, it doesn’t matter, whether the dog exists or not, does not matter. The dog just is.
What is your reality as you read this? Are you ready to run off in the distance? Are you waiting to play fetch? Are you in stand by, hoping something new comes along? Are you ready to take action?
Are you willing to leave the old behind? Are you ready to live again?
Are you ready to embrace the new world and rejoice in the unknown?
Are you willing to go off page, and discover what else is out there?
