Today’s image is brought to you from England, and it is the embodiment of strength. Whenever we look at a lion we imagine it being the king of the jungle and we consider this majestic animal as the apex predator. We potentially fall reverent at it’s feet believing that if it was alive we would be hunted. In reality it is the lionesses who hunt for the male and therefore they are the stronger of the species, for they make sure that the pride multiplies and that it is fed.

So if we consider a lion the symbol of strength, I wonder what was it about this animal that made US believe that is the king? Perhaps because it can roar really loudly, it can be classed as strong? Perhaps because of the size of it, it might convey strength? Or is it that he commands a bunch of female lions? Well, I would ask you to make your own conclusions about it.

And yet, this word strength that I want you to contemplate for yourself. I would like you to consider what are the traits that you equate to another human, being strong? What conveys to you another person is strong? Think qualities, think characteristics, think ways of being. And if you have your list compiled, I would like you to consider this: if you could identify the characteristics, is because you know what they look like; what they feel like; and what it means to be them. And if you know how they feel or look like; then you know what they are and therefore you embody them already. The trick here is, if you can’t even imaging what it is, then your brain has no concept of it, and if it has no concept of it then it can’t recognise it and therefore it can not imitate it. So, if you have your list then make sure you put it somewhere on the wall where you can see it, so that the next time you feel less able to do something; it can serve as a reminder that you are strong.

Strength is a very personal experience, and no to strong people are alike; you are unique once more, in how you experience the world. Survival is all about strength, and the good news is, you are a survival machine. Now go and enjoy your life to the fullest.
