We have entered the 7th day of the first month of the year, and with it for some it brought once a gain changes. It feels as if our lives are changing with every waking moment we experience.
We open that box on the stand and we are bombarded with information and we are informed of whether our life will be on hold or not because of some particular numbers either going up or going down. Whereas a few years ago we would wake up and we would tune into what happened overnight somewhere in the neighbourhood, we are now bombarded with unsettling information about how threatening the world out there it is right from the door step. With such onslaught of uncertainty and change, it is no wonder that our senses appear to be overwhelmed, and when our senses are overwhelmed we can not but try to learn to cope no matter the circumstances.
In a world of overwhelm, what can one do?
Well, you could try and organise things, you could try and simplify things, you could try and just hide, you could try and fight it, but ultimately,
What is the goal you are trying to achieve through all of this?
A few years ago a particular mobile phone provider in Europe used to have a saying “the future is bright, the future is orange” well, the future can be orange, or bight or whatever colour you want to associate with a good life. You may want to aske the question of how to achieve it? Well, the answer is not straight forward. As I said in all my entries so far, getting to know who you are, knowing what is in line with your highest good, is where you may need to start. Figuring out what is worth keeping, and what needs to be ditched from your experience is also a start. Figuring out who are the people who are indeed helpers and who are hindering you progress, is also important. Knowing whether you want to stay comfortable where you are, or getting a bit out of your comfort zone and move on – is one to consider. The future can only be as good as you make your present agreeable. A person who is only living to survive, will never have the energy to create something new, so getting out of survival mode is also an important step. As I have mentioned it a few times in the year, nature does not stay stagnant. The oranges in the picture have recycled themselves many times over, they have become fertiliser, or perhaps the seeds have become new trees, the reality is that they are only here today because of a picture. Our lives change in similar ways to the fruits in the image, and it is only through our stagnated perception of humans, that we think that by not changing we can have a happy life.
Time to do some spring cleaning, and time to get moving again.
Time to take out your diary and take some notes when answering the questions.
