A flock of sheep grazing on green grass in a sunny landscape, with a white lamb and a black sheep in the foreground. In the background, there are trees and other sheep.

Today I came across the proverbial sheep.

Out of the whole flock; there was that one, that stood out from the crowd.

Are you the proverbial sheep?

What makes you different from the rest?

What is your unique attribute that others do not know how to handle?

What is it special that makes you stand out?

Are you comfortable with that difference?

Are you able to stand your ground despite the difference?

Are you as confident and uncaring as this little one?

This one-of-a-kind lamb was just grazing, not caring, enjoying the grass, enjoying family.

Are you this care free about your difference?

When did you discover your difference?

Did you discover it?

Did someone keeps pointing it out?

Do you need them or want them to stop?

Is what they point out truly different? Or is it different from them?

As humans we have always been afraid of difference, we have been cast out from our tribe if we thought differently, acted differently, because of this difference however as a human family we have evolved, we have tried new things. Because of that difference, we have made the greatest advances; but have also messed up epically. It is time I think that as a human family to celebrate what is not the same; it is that variety that allows for the world to experience itself in its wonderous plenitude and as a multifaceted self.
