Yes you guessed it, we are still on the shores of lake Geneva. It appears that in that year, the trees along the shore line were in the shape of hearts, whether this is deliberate or if this is how the tree grows, I do not know, but I discovered the tree it seems when I was taking pictures in 2009. Sometimes when I do photography, I see something that captures my attention I take a quick photo, and then completely forget I took that image. Clearly it was the case this time around also.
“Love is in the air” was the natural title to the image, for a heart is a symbol of love. And of course today I do not talk about love towards another, but love for yourself. Throughout the year, I tried to encourage you to engage with your inner world, in the hope that by the end of 365 days, you would have a better appreciation of self, and therefore you can show yourself more compassion, more self-love, more understanding.
In every movie we watch, every series we see, every story we have read, there was always the underlying idea, that we need to fall in love with someone outside ourselves. We are meant to find the soul mate, we are meant to find that special someone, but we were very rarely been encouraged to engage in self-love. We always need to give of ourselves to others, we have to be kind to others, we have to be polite to others, we need to …towards others. But what about kindness towards ourselves, what about politeness towards ourselves,
what about some positive self talk?
Today, I invite you to say hello to yourself, and enter into a kinds and loving dialogue with your own self, and then do this for the rest of your life. What harm is there in a bit of self love?
Time to take out your diary and take some notes when answering the questions.
