Black and white image of the Christ the King statue in Lisbon, Portugal, standing on a pedestal with arms outstretched.

Today I have a short entry here with just a few questions.

When you look at the image what does it invoke for you?

Do you know where it is?

And if we look at the meaning of the word preconception (“conception or opinion formed in advance of experience or actual knowledge” 1620) I wonder what your thoughts were. We spoke of this in the past, as humans we enter the world as a clean slate in our consciousness, we just are, but as the time passes preconcepts are being presented to us and we take them in as if fact. But have you considered how many of these preconcepts are distortions of the original thought? Ever the word itself “preconcept” has different etymological origins therefore the very validity of the concept can change across time.

I challenge you at this start of the week, to look at home many do you hold, that along the years have proven to be different to what you thought?! And how that you are aware, what are you going to do about it?

If you would like to explore thing further, why not book with me and allow me to help you find your path to self.
