The snail, a creature that was the subject of many a fable back in the day, and not very liked by gardeners, and yet a magnificent creature non the less. Travels with it’s own house on the back and if senses danger has a place to hide, nature once again did an excellent job at creating and answer to a dilemma.
I guess today just felt like the right day to take out an image of a snail. When I am writing this, is a Saturday, a day when a lot of people unwind, take a load off, sleep in, slow down. Well at least I hope they are.
As modern humans of course many will continue to work (because it is their work day), or others “catch up on the work” they could never finish in the work week, they do the “house work” they never done in the week, go out partying etc. So actually instead of slowing down, the week-end becomes another busy day.
I wonder, when do you actually stop?
When do you actually take a moment to yourself?
When do you just exist for the sake of it?
I know, this is not the first week-end day I am bringing this up. I know it is not for the first time I am asking tis question of you all. But seriously, when do you take a break?
It’s not like your body takes a break. It’s not like your mind just stops and switches back on at a later date.
It’s not like your cells stop dividing or your heart stops beating, or your neurons stop firing. So then how do you take a break?
When does your brain has a time to connect with or take a break from the collective?
When do your senses take a break?
When does your body just relaxes enough to not feel overwhelmed?
When do you sleep enough to feel rested?
When do you just get off the hamster wheel, and just exist?
Time to take out your diary and take some notes when answering the questions.
