Nature once again showing us how it is done. This sweet little otter was trying to prevent his lunch from escaping at London zoo, so it used it’s little paw to stop the crayfish scuttling away.
This image may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but let’s face it, how cute are those otter fingers?
I guess, I found this image quite befitting the start of the new year. Today is the 3rd day of the year, and I am wondering if you have indeed started to clamp down on your ideas of how you want to spend the year?
My little otter, is playing sap with his food, but are you playing snap with your ideas for the year? As we spoke of in the past few months, in order for nature to yield a crop, you have to sow the seeds early, feed them, water them and tend to them. It’s no point sowing something late in the year, in the hopes that something grows and matures in a few days?! I mean, if the otter waited any more minutes, he would have missed out on his lunch. If I had taken a few second to take the picture, I would not have captured this image.
The month of January is not just about resting up after the long parties, and after a long year, but for ancient humans was about prepping for the spring, checking on their stock of food, and see how long it will last until the earlier crops will sprout and would perhaps feed them. It was not a time to sit back and chilling, it was getting back to prepping for spring.
So, what do you have to take stock of?
What do you have to recapitulate?
What resources do you have left over?
What resources do you need to make sure it lasts until the next harvest?
What do you have to check on today, so that it yields outcomes later?
Time you played snap with your ideas, write them down, gather what you need to make them sprout and give you the outcome you need.
Time to take out your diary and take some notes when answering the questions.
