Autumn crop in the Salisbury cathedral circa 2013.

We are in the month of November, a time after the autumn harvest has been and gone for most crops, and it is perhaps time to sow anew for the spring. It is a time when those crops that need the chill of winter to help with germination, are put in the ground. And in some regions the grown is prepared to spring. Of course, for the southern hemisphere things are very different, for they are heading into summer, due to the rotation of the earth. For the purpose of this blog, I am writing from the northern hemisphere therefore harvesting and prepping for spring is a yearly occurrence.

So then, if we are harvesting, I wonder what would you harvest about your life? What would you perhaps pull up from the ground and burn? What would you have to do to have a more fertile soil for your growth to occur? What would you need to help the germination of new ideas? What would it take for you to burn up all the left overs, that no longer serve you?

It is harvest time, but also time to sow new crop for a good production in the following year. Time for reflection, for contemplation.
