The Law’s of Jante- something i discovered today whilst reading up on some myspace blogs they are:
- You shall not believe that you are somebody.(You must believe that you are the most unworthy of all: For since we only in the capacity of ourselves own the presupposition to recognize and comprehend our own conceptions that we project upon anybody; then everything and everyone must be as selfpitying and – therefore also – as evil as you only then may feel.)
- You shall not believe that you are as worthy as us. (You are to believe that you are as unworthy as anyone; for only then you will despise yourself adequately enough so that you have no self-respect to grant anyone, but will make them feel as disrispected by you as you only then feel by them.)
- You shall not believe that you are any wiser than us. (You must believe that you are as stupid as anyone, and that everyone in the School of Life has as little to learn from each-other; for only then you will recognize the fact that you own the best basis to create some destructive conception of yourself to despise and ridicule anyone through.)
- You shall not imagine that you are any better than us. (You are to imagine that you are as bad as everyone else; for only then you will grant anyone to feel as bad as you do.)
- You shall not believe that you know anything more than us.(You shall believe that you know less than everyone about how you best can be yourself in your particular manner; so that you can grant yourself the ability to realize that this is so for everyone else as well.)
- You shall not believe that you are any more than us.
- You shall not believe that you are good at anything. (You must be aware that you aren’t good at anything; for only then you will realize that everyone else isn’t good at anything too.)
- You shall not laugh at us.
- You shall not believe that anyone cares about you! (You must believe that no-one that relate themselves to you cares for you; for only then you will grant yourself the presupposition you need in order to despise anyone for any reason; at the cost of their particular premises.)
- You shall not believe that you can teach us anything! (You shall believe that you have nothing to teach anyone; for only then you will allow yourself to realize that no-one has anything to teach you either.)
How many of you recognise this in your every day life? How many of you felt out of place at one point or another in your lives? How many of you feel you are a pupet after reading these laws? HOW WAKE UP AND ULEARN ALL THIS!!!
