Time to set off for another adventure in the great network of consciousness. Once again I am embarking in supporting the planetary task with the YO SOY family this time in Argentina. A 20.5 hour journey is taking me to … Continue reading Task ongoing

Hey guys…any users from the EU (European union) that are following me? The general data protection regulation is coming online on the 25th May 2018. Have you seen the headlines? Have you read the GDPR compliant policies on all of the websites that you are using? Have you retained all that information? Do you know your rights? And do you know your responsibility? I found this site very useful: https://www.eugdpr.org/ Have a read; you may learn some new things; you never knew you needed to know. Suffice to say – you are now the one who can control what others hold … Continue reading GDPR

Weekend thoughts

The weekend is the time when I have time to create or indeed look after my online Esty shop. It is a time when I can sit down; forget about the day job and do what I like best – using my imagination. Using my hands to make jewelry pieces; and use my camera to then publish my work. My Etsy shop is called Artistic Ambivalence – I called it such because i find it very difficult to just do one type of creative art. I like photography – as you saw with some of my images; but I also … Continue reading Weekend thoughts

A new year a new begining

Some may say that they would like to see the back of 2016 as it was filled with a lot of negative vibes; celebrities leaving the stage; wars waged won and lost; globally life is more volatile than perhaps a year ago. I say each year brings with itself new challenges and new beginnings; if we each do one good deed; show one smile; look after one other person than just ourselves; we can improve the outcomes for many. Wish you all a prosperous; peaceful; happy new year.   Continue reading A new year a new begining

Curves and style

Sometimes it takes a few tries for something intricate to be created. The three pieces that i present to you are the latest in my endeavor to perfect my craft. Some would say they are in line with the “steampunk” fashion trend. The curves in the wires gives it them a more sophisticated appearance. Gone are the straight lines with simple wiring; and in come the intricate; the curvy, the complicated strands. Two of the pieces contain 3 beads each – one with two clear Swarovski Crystals and a blue glass bead; one with three blue Swarovski crystals; and one … Continue reading Curves and style

The winner’s medal – the creative process

Saturdays are my creative days. Having a full time job, the weekends are all about creativity.I sometimes doodle whilst talking on the phone or in meetings, and at times I turn them into jewelry. Above you can see the breakdown of the pendant the weaves used to create the details and the shape. Below you can see some of the steps in action. The original drawing  just had a circle with v-lines cutting it through. I knew that this could be a pendant the moment the doodle took shape. All in all it took me 6 hours to weave it, mostly … Continue reading The winner’s medal – the creative process

One two three four….

This is a piece of jewellery i have been working on for some time. I made the pendant a number if months ago. It is made using a stone i picked up on the beach in the South of France many moons ago. The wrapping is copper wire, and the “beads” are infact black coloured fresh ware pearls.  I knew that the pendant would lendvitself to a custom made chain to give it an authentic look.  Making the chain was the slightly longer process. I knew it needed a less polished look than a chain with round links. So I … Continue reading One two three four….

One liner

Best one liner i have heard in a long while…this spoken by a police officer by Buckingham Palace in London, whilst I was passing through the crowd that was staring at the changing of the guards. Well this poor tourist was trying to get a better look at what was going on …but to his bad luck the policement spotted him as he climbed onto the wall…with the typical coolness of a British officer he proceeded at discouraging the tourist with kind words, which were as follows: “The Queen doesn’t climb on your wall at home so don’t climb on … Continue reading One liner

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family. On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?” “It was great, Dad.” “Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked. “Oh yeah,” said the son. “So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father. The son answered: “I … Continue reading THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RICH AND POOR PEOPLE

The Law’s of Jante

The Law’s of Jante- something i discovered today whilst reading up on some myspace blogs they are: You shall not believe that you are somebody.(You must believe that you are the most unworthy of all: For since we only in the capacity of ourselves own the presupposition to recognize and comprehend our own conceptions that we project upon anybody; then everything and everyone must be as selfpitying and – therefore also – as evil as you only then may feel.) You shall not believe that you are as worthy as us. (You are to believe that you are as unworthy … Continue reading The Law’s of Jante
