There is light…

If you have ever travelled around exploring the British countryside you would most likely come across such tunnels of greenery. This particular path is one that I have cycled on many a times. Of course if you travel by car, you would see such green overhang on the side roads, and you would most likely see where a lorry or a double decker bus would have cut the branches to a square shape.

Whenever we pass through such overhang I imagine how in the past a horse drawn carriage would have travelled on the dirt road. It allows my imagination to flow at a time when perhaps life was a bit more complicated, and yet so much simpler.

When I look at this image I also find it full of hope and wonder. I look and my eyes instinctively travel to the light at the end of the tunnel. It is a sign that things that come next are full of light and potential. There is no reason to look back and imagine the darkness, but travel through to the sunny side.

Today, have you found the light at the end of your tunnel? What was the silver lining that makes you want to start the day anew? What would be three things that perhaps went better than expected? What three things brought you joy? What three things are you grateful for?

How is your path? Is it taking you to a new discovery? Is it filled with light?
