A rainy day in 2013, it came down hard, and flooded the streets, an abundant day of rain.

Funny isn’t it, to look at this image and consider it abundance.

But then I ask you what is abundance? How do you define this word for yourself? What is it that you seek in your existence on this planet? What makes you happy? What is precious to you, to that degree, that when you gain it, you feel abundant? What is you are searching for in life? Can you see the beauty in things, regardless of what it is?

Can you see the beauty of the splash of water on the asphalt and wonder about it’s magnificence? Can you look at this image and find it beautiful? Can you look at it without finding fault? Can you appreciate what it represents, without “butting in”?

As human beings we often rely on information from the outside in order to get a sense of what is ok or not. We look t fashion magazines to find out the latest trend. We are bombarded with adds everywhere selling you stuff, for if you do not have the stuff you are worth nothing. If you do not have perfect white teeth, you are worth less then, if you do not have wrinkle free face you are old and worthless, if you do not have the latest phone that showed up, surely you can no longer contact your friends, right?!

What is abundance, I ask you once more?
