Yesterday we looked back in time to all we covered and we also tried to identify how many times we jumped to conclusions. Today we will look at the cobwebs of our mind.
When I took this image I loved the intricate webs that were on the tree, perhaps it was not the best thing happening to the tree, as there were mushrooms also living from the side of it, but the tree allowed it to happen. I guess this tree was housing many creatures that needed it’s protection, and perhaps there was an understanding that they will co-exist.
When it comes to our own mental cobwebs and any side branching unhelpful ideas, I wonder if we, the human, actually are consciously co-existing with those stale stagnating ideas, or we do it out of habit? Do you have any stale ideas, ideas you have not brushed off for a while and therefore seem to be stuck on a singular track? Do you have any beliefs that have mushroomed our of control in an unhelpful way? Do you ever check back on the health of your thoughts, feelings, beliefs? Do you ever dust them off, rinse them out, iron them out and perhaps repackage them?
Just like the tree sometimes our thoughts, feelings, beliefs become entangled in a web of something, that becomes unhelpful; and then we spiral. Is it time to get out the duster perhaps and start clearing space?
