Collar

The abandoned collar of a cat in a garden. The sign of escaping the shackles of an owner, or perhaps the sign that the cat has long since passed, a matter of perspective for sure.

When we consider our own lives and how we go about engaging with the world; doesn’t it feel like perhaps we too have a collar on? Identifying us as someone belonging to a certain group or system?

Do you not feel like you are shackled to a belief system, and if you abandoned that system, you would feel naked and vulnerable?

Do you not feel like sometimes your brain is caging you in with your thoughts and makes you unable to move on?

How fancy is your own collar that keeps you tied to your past?

Ready yet to let it drop to the floor?

What will it take for you to abandon your collar?
