Just a drop

The other day when I was watering the basil plants, the water droplet remained on the stems so beautifully, I could not stop myself from taking a picture. Somehow this singular moment immortalised, brings a smile to my face, for it is such unique moments that worth remembering.

Today I was talking to someone about the legacy that we may well be leaving on this planet and the person I was speaking to put value on tangible items they have built and contributed to. Their view was that what I was doing, ”talking” as they put it, had no value as words can be forgotten.

What is your view, what will you be remembered for?

We of course continued our discussion and I was saying how all of us have a part to play in this world, however insignificant or ephemeral. This person struggled to see the connection, for in their world the more you labour; the more you create stuff, the more legacy you leave; and therefore if what you create is not tangible; then you have no worth.

So then if we consider that this drop of water on the end of the plant has not gone into the ground, does it then have a reason to exist; or be immortalised?
Does this drop of water contribute anything, or is it a waste of space?

How important do you feel in this world?
Have you found your worth yet?
Do you feel worthy of existence?
Have you found your place?

I am just like that drop of water, suspended and yet bound by gravity, between two states, helpful if it resonates with the other, unhelpful if they are not ready for the discussion yet.

What is your view of the water droplet?

As always join in the conversation in a comment, or journal your thoughts. We are ready to evolve, join us on the journey of discovery.
