Time

I guess I do not have to tell you what this, is in order to figure out why time?! When we visited the arboretum last year, I found this stump that at one point it used to be a tree.

I invite you to count the rings here (completing an exercise of dendrochronology) to find out how old this tree was when it was felled, each ring it is apparently a complete cycle of the seasons.

So how do you measure time?

Is time real?

And if you do not look at your watch, how do you determine the passage of time?

Is time important?

Is time relevant?

Is this just another way to qualify something existential?

Why is time so important to us?

Why is time important to you?

What is it you are trying to measure?

How relevant is it to track it always?

Does it give you any more reference for your daily existence?

Do you track time in the hope of another day showing up with better prospects?

Are you wishing your existence away? Or do you use the time to move forward in time, space and experience?

Do you use time to expand your own self?

Do you use time to experience everything there is to experience?

Are you using time wisely?

Do you use each moment to reflect on what is? Do you use the minutes to expand the seconds?

Trees use their rings to track the cycles of time, and each ring tells a story of how that year has been, it shows the health or the damage of the biosphere around the tree.

I wonder how does your body reflect the passage of time?

I wonder how do you reflect the health of the biosphere around you?

Are you even aware of the influence of all there is around you?

Do you even consider how that which surrounds you impacts your being?

Isn’t it time to reflect on all this?
