In hnour of spring, I would like to showcase one of my latest wire wrapped pieces.
At the center of the weave is a beautiful labradorite crystal from India, playing in hues of blue and green. If the light is just right one can almost see a galaxy within.
The stone is wire wrapped with tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire.
The design is as unique as the stone, organically created, directed by the nature of the crystal.
If you wish to wear it, you can find it in my Etsy store. Click to shop
Have you ever tried pyrography? I guess many have not.
This Saturday I picked up my “pen” and started etching.
Pyrography is basically using a heated metal nib to etch designs into wood.
Last year, I picked up a bunch of wooden blanks in the craft shop, thinking that I could create some “pucks” with designs on them to include them as presents with my other pendants.
This week however I reconsidered that idea and instead I decided to turn them into pendants.
Each wooden pendant is double sided, and have geometric patterns on them. The intention was to use geometry to create beauty, just like in nature. Some patterns repeat themselves, as I believe more people may need these codes in their lives, some will stay as unique pendants.
Today I made a leap in my jewellery making from wire wrapping to silversmithing.
It has been a dream of mine for the past few years to learn how to solder, and this September (2021) I held the blow torch in my hand for the first time.
These are two silver rings that I made during a “ring in a day” session in November. I love both these concepts, one is very feminine, with a flower, very different from my own style, but somthing I will wear with love. The second ring is geometical, something much more in tune with my logical brain.
I am sharing them today as I feel these two ring are a start to a brand new adventure for me.
The inspiration behind this necklace and earring set is a necklace from 4AD. That particular necklace was made out of glass and shells apparently with copper findings.
My set is made from rose quartz and turquoise all set with tarnish resistant silver plated copper.
The earrings have a sterling silver ear wire.
Just head to my shop and check out my vast collection of wire wrapped jewelry, and if you type in FOLKSYLOCAL you get 10% discount from the 27-28 November 2021.
This unique lapis lazuli pendant is now available in my Folksy shop – click and shop.
The wire weave was created using sterling silver, the whole pendant is 12g , with the silver wire weighing 7.6g, the rest of the weight being added by the stone. The pendant comes with a silver plated chain included and can be shipped to UK, USA or Europe.

Part of my presence in the market I will be doing two live craft demonstrations via Instagram Live
Hello all. When I started this website it was dedicated both to my photography and my jewellery making but I feel like I have been neglecting the jewellery side somewhat. At the week-end I have done a bit of film editing of my Instagram live videos, I condensed down what would be 4 hours of video to a fast 10 minute and 4 minute videos.
This is a moss agate wire wrapped in silver wire – this of course is available in my Etsy shop, I say of course, but you probably have not seen it yet. The whole process did take about 4 hours to create it from start to finish; I uploaded the condensed video of just over 10 minutes here. I created this piece live on Instagram, so I re-used the footage to showcase my process.
This pendant was also created during an Instagram live event, once again the whole process took just over 3 hours, the footage I condensed the live footage to just over 4 minutes, and you can see it here. This piece can be purchased in my British online shop on Folksy.
These pendants and many more are available in my two shops, I do ship internationally, and if your budget may be tight, get in touch, give me a shout, let’s see what we can do via my shops. Of course a like will never go amiss either.
Thank you for taking the time to watch, visit or read this blog.

Unique pendant in silver and green in the Rococco style of France from the 1400s. This is a one of a kind wire wrapped jewelry piece, and it’s available in my Etsy shop. Check it out here
An absolutely stunning amethyst stone, wire wrapped in tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire. The size of the stone allowed for a much more complicated design, that reminds me of rococco style pieces.
This is a chunky pendant that looks beautifully on a long chain, and for your convenience a silver plated chain will be included. It would look amazing with a beautiful dress, and even with a V-neck t-shirt.

Last month I was showing of a triangular brecciated-jasper pendant, this month I listed my second piece with a distinctly different and yet similar stone. This brecciated-jasper stone has high levels of hematite veins all over, so the best silver filled setting was a very simple wire weave.

At the start of December 2020 I took part in the Folksy Christmas market with my Folksy shop. During the two days of the virtual market, I did some live demonstrations on my Instagram feed. Of course I saved these videos as a way of showcasing my process of creating a pendant and you can hear me speak about some of my pendants that were available on the day, or continue to be available on my Folksy Shop.
At the time I was live for about 8 hours in total.
I completed the two pendants below during the live event.
The footage was not edited, it is “as it was recorded” – so if it makes you chuckle; just go with the flow and I thank you for joining me for the journey.
Join me for live wire wrapping demonstration from the 5-6 December 2020 and watch me create a pendant live whilst taking part in the Folksy Christmas market .

the pendant looks simple and yet it took 2 hours to wrap. YEs; you read right – though the wrapping seems simple; I still had to figure out how to finish off the pendant. By the end I had 6 pieces of wire to finish off in a way that it will not unrevel or poke out anywhere.
The item ships world wide; but my UK followers have free shipping included in the price.

This piece was inspired by the British royal wedding of the year in 2018. Botswana was where the couple spent some of their time.
The brown colour with the delicate white lining is almost seethrough; to reflect the delicate stye of the stone i created a simple yet elegant wrapping around the stone. The wrapping is using silver wire; which converts into a very delicate pendant; perfect for office or casual wear.
If you wish to own this unique piece; head to the Folksy shop.

The pendant will come with a free 24 inch silver plated chain and in a handy organza bag; ready for gifting.
This item would be a perfect gift for anyone who loves unique pieces of jewellery. The boho chic style of the pendant will fit any day time or evening attire.
It could also be a delightful present to anyone who enjoys unique pieces of art; as wire wrapping is a technique that can rarely recreate the same design twice.
Would make an ideal present for anyone looking to gift it to their brides maids as part of their wedding celebration.
**A NOTE: Wire wrapping is a genre of jewelry which requires pliable wire to be shaped into each piece. As a piece progresses, the wire hardens and it will retain it’s shape, however if you try to bend it or it gets squished, it will bend. Do not place your wire wrapped jewelry in a purse or pocket. :) ***Shipping: if you wish to purchase multiple items – these can be bundled into one shipping; therefore reducing your overall cost. Do get in touch with me prior to ordering; this way i can forgo the shipping charge for multiple items. All items are shipped within 3-5 days; though fast delivery services can also be accommodated (again send me a message and will see what we can do)
This simple yet elegant silver pendant is made using 0.99 silver wire. 7g of wire was intertwined for a simple elegant design.
The centre stage is taken up by a delicate pink opal sourced from SaraGemsCo (Etsy) – country of origin -India. Sarah had this to say about the pendant “You are really a great and skilled artist. You really made this pendant a beautiful art piece. You turned only wires and a cabochon into a pendant without any silver welding joints. We really appreciate your Work. We know it takes so much time, work and skill. Hats Off to your Beautiful Work. “
Due to the delicate colouring of the stone; I wanted to create a simple design to showcase the beauty of the gem.
The piece will come in an organza bag for safe storage and a 21 inch silver plated chain free of charge.
*Though I used silver wire for this piece; like all metals silver will age; so please cleaning gently with no harsh chemicals.
Preferably do take it off prior to a shower or a bath; as it may tarnish the wire.
Always rotate your jewellery pieces; wearing one item all the time may tarnish the piece; having different pendants on creates a new look.
These beautiful pendants are recycling botryolite gem stones into individual pieces. All pendants are wire wrapped by hand using tarnish resistant silver plated copper wire; or tarnish resistant red copper wire. Some designs are simple; just the bortyolite and wire but some are incorporating other gem stones; beads or sea glass.
Below is the collection incorporating these pendants:
