A water fountain spouting high into the air, surrounded by a circular platform, with visitors seated nearby and a modern glass pyramid structure in the background, under a clear blue sky.

Today we travel back to Paris, by the Louvre in 2010, when the sun was shining and people were able to enjoy life.

This water fountain clearly caught y eye as it bubbled up every so often into cascades of water. Drop by drop, creating a beautiful scenery and a refreshing space for the visitors.

Sometimes as human beings we fail to appreciate how small things can create beautiful images or experiences. We sometimes even fail to recognise that US as humans we are those tiny drops creating a beautiful picture of the human race, not only that but we are the drops in the ocean of a living planet. And yes, again I can hear the people in the back row taunting and shouting how as humans we are unique in the world, and how we are the most important element on this planet, but perhaps what they fail to realise is that we were not the first creatures on the planet, we are an afterthought. Everything on the planet came before us, the bacteria, the plants, the animals, we are the last bunch to show up and yet we consider ourselves the most important fractal on this Earth.

Of course, when we speak of the human race as being insignificant, many will erupt in emotional screams, because they consider themselves as super unique and important, but if the human race was wiped out, the Earth will continue without us.

So how is this reflection got to do with our own sense of self on the planet? What is it that we contribute in the great scheme of things? For each human, the contribution is very personal. Nobody can tell you who you are and what it is you bring to the fold; it is up to each and every one of you to find that reason for existence.

You are but a drop in the bubbling brook of life, we erupt and ebb and flow as part of Earth’s biomass. Each of us have a spot, each of us came on the planet for a reason, finding that reason is indeed a lifelong purpose. Sometimes the purpose is just existing, sometimes the calling is slightly higher, what do you think yours is?
