Three people standing on a dock overlooking Lake Geneva, with a vintage boat departing in the background. A sign indicates 'Geneve Paquis' and shows safety instructions.

Geneva on an august bank holiday week-end in 2009, the tourists are patiently awaiting the boat, to go on a little cruise on the lake. On such occasion, standing around and waiting, is the only thing one can do. Line up, stick around, and watch as the boat comes in.

I guess you figured it out where I am going with this one today? Are you doing the same at the moment, just standing there, watching the world go by, waiting for your own boar to come in? are you indeed just standing there waiting? Are you really just watching how others are enjoying the ride, and you are missing out? When will you take some action in your life? When will you show some agency, where agency is needed?
I guess if you are still standing there watching as others get on the boat and you don’t perhaps you are happy to be where you are, you are content with what you have, and you do not want more from this existence. Perhaps you are tired of so many life times of suffering, and you are sitting this cycle out, you know like in the films where the character just re-lives the same day over and over again and despite their tries nothing changes, so it stops trying anything and it waits the cycle to finish. Perhaps you are one of those people, you are just sitting this one out. Or perhaps you are not. The choice is indeed yours.
